Celebrating with Our Neighbors: John Paulding FD 125th Anniversary
Celebrating with Our Neighbors: John Paulding FD 125th Anniversary
On Saturday, September 19, 2026, our church family had the joy and privilege of participating in the John Paulding's Fire Department’s 125th Anniversary "Day in the Park" Community Celebration at Depot Square in Sparkill, NY. Since our church is located right beside the park, we set up an outreach stall and welcome station in our parking lot to greet visitors and celebrate alongside our local community.
Our members enthusiastically came together to serve our neighbors throughout the afternoon. We ran a live hot snack station right from our parking lot, frying up fresh, piping-hot samosas and traditional vadas, served with savory coconut chutney and ketchup.
In addition to the hot treats, we provided complimentary snacks, sodas, and fresh hot coffee, along with free school backpacks for children, Bibles, and gospel tracts.
It was a wonderful opportunity to connect personally with families from Sparkill and surrounding neighborhoods, share warm fellowship, and introduce people to our church.
We were especially honored to meet the Fire Chief, who expressed deep appreciation for our presence, active participation, and community support.
We praise God for a fruitful, joy-filled day of ministry and community connection right in our own neighborhood!
